Ugh. I hate when people just list adjective after adjective to describe themselves on facebook or whatever. They're always something like

I'm a gregarious, friendly, quiet, extroverted, shy, outgoing, reader who is intelligent, funny, fun-loving but serious, a down-home city boy, a partying homebody who can drink you under the table, or just cuddle by the fireplace with that special someone, but I can still kick your ass if I have to, even though I'm sensitive and love making friends, to whom I am fiercely loyal. I am very witty, and I am constantly making smart, observational quips; but I can be a little sarcastic too!'

I'm sure everyone is kind of guilty of this kind of thing at one point or another.
I guess I don't really have anything to say. I'm just putting it out there.

I'm kind of disappointed with Beck's new CD. Maybe I just need to listen to it a little more to get it.

But I don't like how he so closely resembles Holly Hunter these days.

Other than bitching about Beck, I haven't had much going on lately. Just working in the yard, working at work. My life has settled down and become pretty normal lately; so I'm just going to chill and enjoy it.

I hope I don't offend anybody, but I just can't wait until fucking Madonna is done making music.
I've only heard bits and pieces of her new CD, but I can tell it's that generic electropop wannabe bullshit that's just going to piss me off.

And have you ever stopped and listened to the lyrics of the average modern Madonna single. It's like, you're 60-years-old lady, and you're just singing nonsense all the time. It's like her music is nothing but those "filler" songs that artists put on their albums just to reach the content contract agreement with the record company. I think stuff like that happens all the time. I imagine she's got a huge closet full of just generic techno-beats and volumes of puns and cliches she can slip into songs whenever she needs to fill space.

All I can think of is that stupid ass song from her last CD that was her rapping about having a baby and a latte that goes into her bottay. and something about pilates.

So fucking stupid!
Don't get me wrong. I'm all about pop music.
but
Fuck you Madonna, and fuck you're stupid music.

Natural Disasters

So there was some stupid fucking earthquake in southern Illinois early this morning, and that's all anyone can talk about. I knew right away when I heard about it that everyone at work would be comparing stories about how traumatizing the experience was.

I didn't even feel it. I would hardly even call it a natural disaster, its more just like a natural occurrence. So I'm sitting here at work with my headphones on and all of a sudden I hear everyone getting really loud in the hallway. I guess it was an aftershock or something, but I didn't even feel it. People were just going nuts, like the building was coming down or something.

I just hate that mass hysteria that develops when people start competing to see who was more effected by the situation. Some people were talking about going home. for real.

Bored at work

sometimes at work, I find myself looking at/obsessing over random facebook or myspace pages of people that I truly cannot stand to even talk to sometimes. But it passes the time. I guess it's pretty masochistic though, to be actively hating these people. But it's totally in socially therapeutic way! I guess that's how I'm justifying this anti-social exercise.

I should really get a fucking hobby or something. Or have a kid to take up some of my time.

Public Speaking

Fuck. I have this huge presentation for work coming up on Friday.
It was kind of just thrown at me and I have very little understanding about what I'm supposed to be talking about.

So today and tomorrow I'm basically just sitting outside and trying to figure out what I'm going to talk about for a fucking hour on Friday! So at least out from in front of my computer for a couple days.

But seriously, my boss is already annoyed with me because I've been somewhat struggling with the all of these new responsibilities I've been given. But he's totally nice about, I can just tell it's getting on his nerves.

I feel like I'm back in school and I have fucking speeches to give every other fucking week.
Oh well, I guess it's good experience and one day, I'll be thankful.
